Local Listings lists your business in multiple directories, including Google, Bing, AOL, Yahoo!, Yelp and Yellow Pages, all once by filling out one form. Local Listings is currently only a U.S. offering.
To get started click Dashboard at the top of your account and Local Listings on the left. This will bring you to the Local Listings homepage, where you can enter the name of your business and its zip code. Once you have entered your information, click Check My Listings.
NOTE: Even if your business does not have a physical location you can still use Local Listings. Simply enter the zip code where you are most likely to do business to get started. Being listed in as many directories as possible can only help your business, even if it is primarily eCommerce.
If you have not already purchased Local Listings, you will be prompted to do so. Once your order is complete, click your Start Your Local Listings Profile to be directed to the Business Information page. This is where you will enter all of your business's pertinent information, including name, description, address, and social media profiles.
NOTE: Be sure to enter your information precisely. Since it will be listed in multiple directories, you want to ensure that it is as accurate as possible. Your information will be validated before submission.
The "Advanced Information" section includes fields for fax number, hours of operation and the payment methods you accept.
Once you click Submit Business Information, your information will be submitted to over 100 directories at once, along with a progress bar. This screen will also check for errors.
Once submission is complete, your Local Search Listing page will the default page. It includes your standard information along with a map. Below your standard business information, you can view the status of your submissions. Some submissions are instant. Others, depending on the type of directory and their validation processes, can take up to 30 days.
A green checkmark means the directory has accepted your submission and a blue clock means you are still being verified.
