The Paragraph and Title modules are located at the bottom of the Builder under the "Popular" tab.

Drag your module into place to get started.

The Paragraph Module

Once the module is in place, click the prompt that reads “click here to edit text” to begin typing in your text. You can also paste text that you have pre-written.

TIP: For the best results, first paste your text into a plain text program like Wordpad or Text Edit to remove any extraneous formatting, then paste the plain text version into your Paragraph module. Click here for more tips and best practices for using text

While you are within your Paragraph module, you will notice that a formatting toolbar appears at the top of the Builder. Use this toolbar to customize your text.

The formatting toolbar that appears while you are working inside of the text module provides these capabilities:

  • color: change the color of highlighted text
  • increase/decrease: change the font size
  • bold, italic, underline and strikethrough: apply standard styling to your text
  • alignment buttons: align your text left, right, center or full justified
  • outdent and indent: nudge highlighted text to the left or right
  • list: create bulleted lists that are numbered or unnumbered
  • clear: clear formatting
  • link: this will allow you to link the highlighted text to a URL, creating a hyperlink

When applying any formatting, make sure you have first highlighted the text with your mouse. Any changes will not apply if the text is not highlighted.

NOTE: If you want to change your font type globally you can use the Theme Editor. Keep in mind that not all fonts are available across every theme.

The Title module

Drag the Title module into place to get started with your title. For this example we will place it just above the paragraph we just added.

A placeholder will appear that says "Click here to edit title." Clicking this will bring up the formatting toolbar.

Every theme comes with a default font for titles, but you can change this easily using the drop-down options. Keep in mind that fonts for titles are more decorative than the fonts available for the main body text of your pages.

Other formatting options include:

  • icon picker: add a small design elements or symbol to enhance your title
  • color: change the color of highlighted text
  • increase/decrease: change the font size
  • bold, italic, underline and strikethrough: apply standard styling to your text
  • alignment buttons: align your title left, right or center
  • clear: undo any formatting changes
  • link: link the highlighted text to a URL, creating a hyperlink

Be sure to highlight your title first before you begin applying any formatting.
