Once you create your site with Webs, one of the first things you will want to do is review and update your Site Settings. On your Site Settings page, you can set your name, site title and select a category for your site. You can also add Google Webmaster Tools and your Google Analytics code.

More information, including pricing and payment options, can be found in your account by going to your Dashboard and clicking the Webs Premium tab.
You can reach Site Settings by clicking Dashboard at the top of your account and clicking the Settings button on the left column.
IMPORTANT: When making any updates to your Site Settings, be sure to click the blue Save Site Settings button at the very bottom of the page, or your changes will not be recognized.

Your Site ID
Your Site ID appears in the upper-right corner of your Site Settings page. This is a unique identifier for your site that can be helpful when contacting Support and reporting errors. It is also useful if you want to report an error in the Support forums but do not wish to share your site’s address with the rest of the community.
Your Name, Site Title and Category
By default, the email address that was used to sign up for your site account will appear as Your Name.
Site Title is what visitors will see when your site appears in search engine results.
NOTE: When changing your Site Title, as well as updating any meta-information or content on your site, it will not be updated in search engines right away. It may take awhile for your new information to be indexed depending on the search provider. This is not controlled by Webs.
Site Category classifies the type of site you own.
Social Mode
With Social Mode turned on, visitors can join your site as members and participate in forums and other social tools.
For example, if you have the Members, Forums and the Blog applications installed, visitors will not be able to interact with these applications as members if Social Mode is not set to ON.
Setting Social Mode to OFF will deactivate any member login or signup modules and prevent members from being able to comment on posts.

Site Description and Keywords
Optimize your site for search engines by adding a Site Description and Site Tags/Keywords to tell search engines what your site is about.
Google Webmaster Tools and Google Analytics
Google Webmaster Tools provides you with detailed reports about your site visibility on Google. To get started, go to https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/. After signing up, you will receive a verification code which you can paste in this field.
Site Usage Meters
On the right of your Site Settings page int he bandwidth Usage meter. Here, you can see exactly how much bandwidth you've used for the month, as well as how many form submissions and web storage you currently have available.

What is "social mode" and how do I activate or deactivate it?
With Social Mode turned on, visitors can join your site as members and participate in forums and other social tools.
To activate, go to Dashboard > Settings and click On under "Social Mode."
To deactivate, go to Dashboard > Settings and click Off under "Social Mode."
How do I add keywords to my site?
To update the meta information for your entire site:
Go to Dashboard > Settings to can update site tags/keywords and your site description.
How do I verify my site with Google?
Google Webmaster Tools provides you with detailed reports about your viability on Google. You will need to verify your site with Google in order to use them.
- To get started, go to http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/.
- Enter your site address.
- You will be given two ways to verify your ownership of your site. Choose Alternate methods.
- Select the "HTML tag" option.
- You will be provided with a verification code.
- Copy this code and paste it in "Google Webmaster Tools" area on the Site Settings page of your Webs account. click Save Site Settings.
- Return to the Google Webmaster Tools page and click Verify. You will see a message that says "Congratulations, you have successfully verified your ownership!"
How do I add Google Analytics to my account?
- Retrieve the analytics code using your analytics account with Google.
- In your Webs account, click Dashboard, then Settings on the left.
- Paste the analytics code snippet in the Google Analytics field at the bottom of the Site Settings page.
- Click Save Site Settings.
