FAQ. Meebo bar not working? Read this first! FWB-9522 FWB-13293

Hey folks!

Some people are reporting that the Meebo bar is installed on a site, but is not appearing when the site is visited.

If you have an issue with adding the meebo application this means your site is tagged as possibly violating our Terms of Service and needs to be reviewed by our Abuse team. Feel free to contact them via abuse@webscom.zendesk.com.

From there they will give you notice that your site is/is not in violation. If your site is not in violation, you can add the Meebo app.

The tagging of a site as potentially abusive and removal of the Meebo bar is controlled directly by Meebo. Meebo have their own abuse policy which is used to identify sites.

We are working with Meebo to ensure their tagging procedure is correct for it seems some are being tagged incorrectly. Hopefully we will be able to reduce the number of incorrectly tagged sites.

Please be patient in awaiting a reply from the Abuse team. They are happy to assist and will be in touch as soon as possible.

If you are experiencing a different issue with the Meebo app, please post in a new topic with the following information:

  • Your site address or username

  • The actual address of any page you are having questions about or difficulties with

  • Steps you are taking to attempt to accomplish the task. Tell us what you are typing in and what you are clicking on. We may need to follow your actual steps to try to reproduce the error.

  • The exact wording of any error messages you are getting.

  • What browser you are using.

  • What steps you have taken to try to resolve the error, and what happened when you tried it.

Thank you very much!
